Sevilla president Jose Castro has admitted frustration over their failure to sign Monaco striker Stevan Jovetic.

Jovetic left Inter Milan for Monaco last week.

"We were negotiating for several months," Castro said.

“We couldn't agree a financial deal because of his high wage and we'd already made a big effort for Luis Muriel.

“We have [Wissam] Ben Yedder and don't forget Carlos Fernandez."
