Sevilla has agreed a significant partnership with betting firm Interapuestas.com, but the club remains without a shirt sponsor, reports Sport Business.
The Spanish online gaming brand of Interwetten AG has agreed a deal that will see it receive advertising presence in all games played at Sevilla’s Estadio Sanchez Pizjuan.
Sevilla currently sits fifth in La Liga, but is one of a number of top flight Spanish teams without a shirt sponsor after 12Bet.com failed to renew its agreement at the end of last season.
“Sevilla FC has grown in recent years, surrounding itself with big companies that also, full of ambition, want to grow at any cost,” said Sevilla president Jose Maria del Nido.
“Because of this, the agreement reached with Interapuestas.com is something to be satisfied about because we are dealing with an international company that, like us, has risen to success and today leads the online sports betting sector at European level and has a presence in more than 70 countries. The fact that their website is translated into nine different languages says it all.”
Managing director of Interapuestas.com, Birgit Bosch, added: “For many years we have been the leaders of this sector in the Spanish market and the co-operation with Sevilla FC, an international club, will certainly strengthen our position. Besides the regular sporting success of the club we are full of enthusiasm about the club’s great community of followers. This emotional environment is the perfect framework to present our brand.”
