Sevilla move for Man City midfielder Samir Nasri

Sevilla are moving for Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri.

L'Equipe says it had looked like the Manchester City midfielder was on his way to Besiktas, following being cast to the fringes of Pep Guardiola's squad, although he did make a cameo appearance in Sunday's 3-1 win over West Ham United.

Sevilla sporting director Monchi has made enquiries to the Citizens regarding Nasri, according to L'Equipe, and has made efforts to accelerate a transfer with time running out before the window shuts.

However, any incoming to the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan is dependant on a player sale, as Jorge Sampaoli's squad is currently full-up in terms of its quota for the Champions League group stage.

As a consequence, Monchi is waiting on winger Yevhen Konoplyanka to complete a move to one of the many Bundesliga clubs interested in him, while Benoit Trémoulinas could also be on his way out of the club.
