Bayer Leverkusen striker Javier Hernandez is being linked with a return to Spain.
Chicharito is ready to leave Bayer this summer, with the club's manager Jonas Boldt confirming he will be allowed to move on.
"We understand that next year we will be without the Champions League, without the Europa League, and we understand that there are footballers who have the idea to play those tournaments," he stated.
A move to Lyon has been mooted for Chicharito - and Sevilla are also keen.
Sevilla would seek to do business for around €12 million. However, they will have to sell one of their non-EU players first in order to make room for the former Manchester United star.
