Sevilla are reconsidering their plans for on-loan Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri.
Outstanding for the first-half of the season, Nasri's form has fallen away dramatically under coach Jorge Sampaoli.
The Frenchman's deal with Sevilla includes a €19 million option.
And Estadio Deportivo says Sevilla directors, rather than sign him permanently, are now leaning towards sending Nasri back to City.
This will create a fresh problem for City, where manager Pep Guardiola is planning for next season without the player.
