Sevilla are launching a bid for Bordeaux midfielder Alou Diarra.
L'Equipe says Sevilla have made a formal approach to Bordeaux about opening talks over a fee for the France international.
Diarra's contract carries a foreign buyout clause, which would allow him to quit Ligue 1 for around £6 million - a figure Sevilla are willing to meet.
