Sevilla goalkeeper Morgan de Sanctis has defended his decision to quit Udinese last summer using FIFA's controversial Article 17 law.
The Italian has hit out at Serie A presidents threatening to take players to court if they tried to follow his lead: "I understand the managers who are acting in the interest of their clubs. But the threats from presidents are wrong. The rules are clear.
"Players are allowed to use the Article 17 law to free themselves, which I did after eight years of being in the one place. I wanted a change."
