'Sevilla is everything to me' - Man City winger Navas

Jesus Navas has expressed his love for Sevilla ahead of Manchester City's upcoming Champions League clash against the Spanish side.

Navas left Sevilla to join City during the summer of 2013 but it was well documented that the winger had to fight off homesickness in order to facilitate the move.

Now Navas looks set to face his former side for the first time since leaving, when City square off against the Seviilistas at the Etihad Stadium in a Champions League encounter on October 21 and ahead of the clash, the 29-year-old spoke of his fondness for his former club.

Navas told the Manchester Evening News: "Sevilla is everything to me in sporting terms. It is where I was born and grew up as a player, but now I can only think of Manchester.

"They took a gamble on me and I always want to justify that. Their deal with me is wonderful and I only have good words for the club.

"For me it will be a game of mixed feelings. I want to play against Sevilla. Now we play in Manchester, but the return to the Sanchez-Pizjuan will be awesome ... it will be very special for me.

"I gave everything for Sevilla, and always, always felt the affection of the fans - they are already in my heart forever."
