Sevilla departure not a given for Everton target Negredo

Alvaro Negredo says he will not force the issue regarding a potential exit from Sevilla this summer.

The Spanish striker has had a brilliant season with the Sevillistas but could still be sold as the Andalusian club look to offset a debt of more than £47million.

Nergredo, who was close to a move to Everton in January, says he has no plans to quit Sevilla and will not ask president Jose Maria del Nido to sell him come seasons end.

"I'm happy here. If the president says that he will not sell, there are other players that can go," he told a press conference.

"He will seek what is best for the club and if I have to leave then it is because he sees fit. But I am calm and at ease here.

"This city and this team have given me a lot. In the end, we are all in the shop window. I want to finish the season here and then the president will decide. For better or for worse, we will all benefit."
