Sevilla sporting director Ramon Rodriguez denies plans to sell Alvaro Negredo.
Rodriguez has refuted assumptions the club have bought Raul Rusescu to replace Negredo, who has been linked away from the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
Rusescu was the top scorer in the Romanian league as Steaua Bucharest won the title and his arrival on a five-year deal was announced on Thursday.
Rodriguez also insisted Rusescu's arrival had nothing to do with Negredo and told the club's official radio station SFC: "He does not come to replace Alvaro Negredo because today, unless I haven't heard, he is a Sevilla player.
"Negredo has nothing to do with the arrival of Rusescu.
"We read so many things these days."
