Sevilla defender Ivica Dragutinovic hopes be available for the season kickoff.
The Serbia centre-back ruptured his Achilles tendon in training towards the end of last season and was forced to miss this summer's World Cup.
But the player says his recovery is going well and he hopes to surprise his club by making a quick return to action.
"In a month or a month and a half I will be able to return - I think I can surprise a lot of people," he told Sevilla's official website.
"Right now I have to strengthen the muscle and the tendon which was ruptured. We'll see how long I need, but I am really looking forward to starting to run again.
"I don't want to give specific dates, but I think it can be a big surprise because I am feeling really good."
