Sevilla defender Alberto Botia has confirmed interest from Swansea City in January.

The Swans failed with a €6 million offer for Botia during the winter transfer window

"Yes, I heard about the offer, my agent informed me, but it did not go beyond that. I have a contract and I belong to Sevilla, I wanted to continue here. That's what I said.

"I would like to continue at Sevilla next season, but do not know yet if the club wants the same," he said.
