Sevilla president Jose Castro hailed their stunning victory at Manchester United last night.

Sevilla won 2-1 to reach the Champions League quarterfinals.

Castro said: "It's a magical night and a historic night, we had to change the precedents and now we have to keep fighting for the Champions League, we have been able to beat a team full of stars and amazing signings.

"We were better throughout the game, we are among the best eight in Europe and we are proud.

"You've already listened to the Sevilla fans at Old Trafford, this Sevilla is making all the Sevilla fans really enjoy themselves, now we have to keep going."

Sevilla sports director Oscar Arias added: "It's a huge satisfaction, I've seen the match among the fans and the passion and the feeling with which they have lived the match, as normally Sevilla does, it gives you enormous joy, especially for them, because they are always protecting the team."
