Sevilla chief Monchi is monitoring Roberto Soldado's situation at Tottenham.

Monchi is in the market for a new striker and the signing of Soldado is high on his agenda, says Estadio Deportivo.

Spurs' asking price, however, of €17 million is out of Sevilla's range.

Monchi is aware that Tottenham are struggling to find a buyer for Soldado and is happy to wait until the final weeks of the market for Spurs to drop their valuation.

Soldado has also been linked with Borussia Dortmund in recent days.
