Sevilla sports chief Monchi has handed coach Manolo Jimenez a vote of confidence and insists no contact has been made with Racing Santander's Marcelino.

He said: "I insist we have confidence in Manolo Jimenez. A review must only be made at the end of the season, although I cannot guarantee that I will be here in two months.

"Nobody has contacted Marcelino and I doubt very much that the president of Racing knows the future of Marcelino."
