Sevilla sports chief Monchi is refusing to write-off summer signing Aquivaldo Mosquera as a £6 million flop.

The Colombia international has been heavily criticised this season, particularly after the weekend's defeat to Villarreal, but Monchi says: "I haven't spoken with him, I want to wait for everything to calm down.

"We have to show some patience and not focus on individuals."
