Sevilla chief Monchi is confident new coach Jorge Sampaoli will stay.

Sampaoli has been linked with the Argentina job after Tata Martino's departure.

"We are proud that our coach is the object of desire from Argentina but Sampaoli has a contract with Sevilla and from what I see and when we talk every day, he is completely involved," Monchi said.

"I understand that the national team creates plenty of headlines each day in Argentina and that this causes a lot of commotion and I also understand that one of their options is Sampaoli, like [Sao Paulo coach Edgardo] Bauza, [Atletico Madrid coach Diego] Simeone, [Tottenham Hotspur coach Mauricio] Pochettino... but there have been no calls and no contact with Sevilla."
