Sevilla have announced defender Sergio Sanchez is standing down from football due to heart disease.

The 23 year-old will be in Barcelona this weekend for more medical tests.

Sergio underwent scans during the week where Sevilla confirmed they found problems with the young defender's heart and he has been advised to cease all physical activity for the time being.
