Samir Nasri has confirmed Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola didn't want him to leave this season.

The midfielder is on a season-long loan at Sevilla.

"Guardiola wanted me to stay at City, but I wanted to play every game, every minute," explained Nasri.

"It is something I miss, I love football and that's what I wanted.

"That's why I made this choice of Sevilla."
