Former Millwall and Piacenza midfielder Daniel Severino is currently on trial with the Perth Glory.

The 27-year old ended his contract with Maltese club Sliema Wanderers and is training with the West Australian club in the hope of winning an A-League contract.

"He's got a lot of experience and technically he's very good," Mitchell said.

"I think he'd add something to the squad but I've just got to make sure I spend money in the right areas."

Originally from Sydney, Severino has also had stints with Iceland club Keflavik and Swedish side Umea FC among others.
