Seven minutes lost us the game – Portsmouth’s Grant

Portsmouth boss Avram Grant was disappointed with a seven minute stretch in the first half that saw Liverpool score three goals on their way to a 4-1 win over Pompey at Anfield on Monday night.

The Israeli tactician was unhappy with his side’s performance, especially when they lost themselves and allowed Fernando Torres, Ryan Babel and Alberto Aquilani to hit the back of the net in a short amount of time.

“Like against Arsenal and Manchester United, we lost our shape," he said.

"It was not a good seven minutes and we lost the game.

"I think the second half we got back into the game, we didn't play brilliant but we could do more.

"It was not easy for us even though we scored one goal and created a couple of good chances before."
