Serie A kicks off on Setanta Sports Australia this weekend

Serie A is set to get underway again this weekend with the 2010-11 season kicking off on Setanta Sports with seven games available, including four matches broadcast live.

Setanta Sports live coverage starts on Sunday morning (Australian time) when one of the 'big four' of the competition, Roma, take on Serie A newcomers, Cesena.

Cesena last saw Serie A action just on 20 years ago in 1991 but have brought in some quality imports such as Stephen Appiah from Ghana and Yuto Nagatomo from Japan, mixed with exciting young prospects including Ezequiel Schelotto from Argentina.

Roma's stars include the man who broke Australian hearts at the 2006 FIFA World Cup, Francesco Totti, as well as Daniele de Rossi and David Pizarro.

On Monday morning, Setanta follows up with two big live matches: the first between Bari and another of the 'big four', Juventus, and the second between the new-look Fiorentina and Napoli.

The final live match for round 1 sees Champions League, Serie A and Coppa Italia winners, Internazionale, start their 2010-11 campaign on Tuesday morning against Bologna.

Overnight, Inter swept the pool at the annual UEFA Club Football Awards with Diego Milito (Footballer and Striker of the Year), Julio Cesar (Goalkeeper), Maicon (Defender) and the $70m man, Wesley Sneijder (Midfielder) all taking out individual honours.

Setanta's coverage of the Serie A includes improved analysis and commentary, including a weekly highlights program, a weekly magazine show and a Serie A daily news show.

In addition to the Serie A, Setanta Sports also offers more than 750 football matches this season with the best of German, Dutch, Scottish, Portuguese and South American football as well as many Euro 2012 qualifiers and the FA Cup.
