Sergio Romero puts Man Utd ahead of Argentina career

Sergio Romero has put Manchester United ahead of his international ambitions.

Argentina coach Edgardo Bauza recently admitted that Romero could lose his national team spot if he doesn't start playing regularly at club level soon.

Telam reports Boca Juniors thought they would be able to lure the shot-stopper back to his homeland with the offer of a six-month loan deal and regular game time.

However Romero is said to have rejected the chance to head for Buenos Aires even if it means losing his status as Argentina's number one.

Instead the player is focused on revving his club career and plans to continue fighting for his place at Old Trafford.
