Serbia boss Radomir Antic has revealed he is a big fan of Australia's star forward Harry Kewell.

The former Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona manager says he attempted to sign the Galatasaray winger when he was in charge in Spain, sending him a great compliment ahead of the clash between Serbia and the Socceroos tomorrow morning.

"I'm especially a fan of Harry Kewell. More than six or seven years ago I tried to sign him when I was with Spanish clubs," Antic said.

"He's a great player who has had a great career and I watched him play a few times for Galatasaray because I follow the Turkish league closely as I used to play there."
