Roma president Rosella Sensi admits their capture of Adriano was a drawnout process.

Adriano has arrived from Flamengo in Brazil in the past week.

Rosella said: "We had the Adriano idea quite a long time ago, tracked him quietly and in February continued our negotiations.

"There was a lot of work behind this operation, as he was a popular player wanted by many clubs."
