Senegalese striker Baba Diawara is closing in on a move to Glasgow giants Celtic according to recent reports.
SunSport suggests that the 23-year old, who plies his trade in Portugal with Maritimo will join the Hoops for around £2million ahead of tomorrow's transfer deadline and will follow Mohamed Bangura to Parkhead.
Diawara, and AIK Stockholm's Bangura, will undergo medicals today with a source close to Diawara saying the deal was set to go ahead today or tomorrow.
"Just about everything is in place now," the source said.
"Both clubs have agreed in principle to proceed with the deal, all they have to do now is firm up a price.
"Baba is really excited by the move. He knows Celtic are a big club and can't wait to arrive in Scotland."
