Philippe Senderos has ended his spell with Aston Villa after having his contract cancelled by mutual consent.
The 30-year-old former Arsenal and Fulham centre-back joined Villa from Valencia in 2014, but his spell at Villa Park was plagued with injuries, and he managed only nine appearances for the club.
"Aston Villa and Philippe Senderos have mutually agreed to terminate the defender's contract," said a statement on the club's official website.
"The club wishes Philippe all the best in his future career."
