Former Chicago Fire left-back Gonzalo Segares has officially signed with Cypriot club Apollon FC.

The 27-year old Costa Rican will suit up with his new club for the remainder of the season after being linked with a move there for the past few weeks.

Segares joined the Fire in 2005 as a third round selection in that year's SuperDraft and went on to make over 100 appearances for the club. He also represented Costa Rica during that period - for the first time in 200 - and now has over ten caps for his nation.
