Former Manchester United defender Jaap Stam is being linked with AC Milan.

Corriere dello Sport says Clarence Seedorf, who is set to leave Botafogo to return to Italy, wants Stam to join him at Milan as his No2.

It will mean Mauro Tassotti ending his 30-year association with the Rossoneri.

Seedorf is expected to succeed Massimiliano Allegri as Milan coach at the end of this season.
