Seedorf urges AC Milan pal Kaka not to rush into Man City move

Clarence Seedorf says he'll be surprised if AC Milan teammate Kaka leaves for Manchester City this month.

"These are Hollywood figures, it is clear that City is sending a message to the world; they want to become one of the big clubs in the world," Seedorf told Sky Sports News.

"It would surprise me if he leaves this month, but on the other hand, I don't know what the personal motivations would be.

"[The money] is not what he needs, he has a big contract already. It is astronomical for AC Milan, but it's not going to be a life-changer for him.

"If he decides to change, it will be for a long-term project that he can be a major part of."

Seedorf added that both Kaka and Milan need to bide their time before making a decision over City's approach.

"This an offer that has to be thought of," he said. "He is an important asset. He is a young player but has already been six, seven years at the club.

"It is a decision only he can make with his family. It is not something to think easily about. He has to consider the pros and cons - not with the heart but also with the mind."

He added: "Kaka is a player that has done so much for the club. If you look at it like that, this would still be doing something for the club - bringing in a lot of money."
