Clarence Seedorf has reacted to AC Milan medical chief Dr Jean Pierre Meersemann's amazing attack on Kaka's decision to undergo knee surgery at the end of last season.

Meersemann says Kaka's current tendonitis problems are down to the surgery and Seedorf says: "There is a little concern there, because if during preseason you cannot work at your best, I believe it is right to take the time necessary to return to being 100 percent.

"It's right that he had to take time out because he is young and you cannot gamble with your career. Between Kaka and Dr. Meeressman there has been no discussion, but it can happen in life that two people have two different opinions, nothing else, but this should not become a major issue."
