A second A-League team in Melbourne is becoming a reality with Football Federation Australia officials and bid organisers meeting today. According to a report in the Leader Newspaper, Victorian businessman Peter Sidwell and his bid, under the name Melbourne Heart, has received exclusive rights for the 11th licence in the A-League and expects his bid to be accepted.
The meeting today could confirm the inception of the team and plans would then be put in place to have things ready for the 2010/2011 season where the new team would share the Melbourne Rectangular Stadium with Melbourne Victory.
