There's been criticism that not enough of the new arrivals have established themselves in coach Claudio Ranieri's team, but Secco says: "We have acquired ten players and it's clear that not all can play a part in a team that already has champions like Buffon, Del Piero, Nedved, Trezeguet and Camoranesi.

"We have worked in the market closely with the trainer, who is free to make the choices that he sees as the most opportune.

"For us, it does not matter if the old ones or new ones play, we're interested alone that those who do play have the quality necessary to make an impact."
