Sebo is playing regularly in Ligue 1 and had looked likely to make the move permanent.

His agent, Karl Csonto, said: "Filip is really happy in France and of course he would now like to stay at the club permanently."

However, the Slovakian hit-man revealed that a Rangers return could still be on the cards.

"I take things day-by-day and right now I am on a one-year loan a t Valenciennes. But we will see where I will be next season.

"Scotland is still very deep in my heart - especially the Rangers fans. They mean so much to me.

"But we will just have to wait and see what happens when the season ends in May."
