Sebastien Pocognoli credits his Belgium recall to his move to West Bromwich Albion.
The 27-year-old has been one of the Baggies' best performers since his summer move from Hannover.
"It's good news to be called up, especially after missing the World Cup. I'm happy after the way the season has started for me here," he said.
"To start well was very important for me. Each game is shown on Belgian TV so they will see our games. If I am picked for the national team then it'll be because I'm getting good reports. I am enjoying my time here.
"I spoke to Romelu (Lukaku) and (Kevin) Mirallas before I came and got very good feedback about the club, even though last season was a little bit difficult.
"I had a good feeling because I knew the plans they had."
