Sebastian Lletget is happy with his progress at West Ham United.
He spoke glowingly of the facilities at the Academy House, as well as the support and care afforded by resident hosts Bob and Val Rayson.
The midfielder told West Ham TV: "I'm from San Francisco in California and I've been here for a year and a half now and I really enjoy it.
"The boys in the house are pretty respectful of my privacy and generally really nice.
"I think it's a very big thing for any person that their surroundings are comfortable and the house really does that for you. Bob and Val are also here to look after us, which is good.
"I think we've given up too much and sacrificed almost everything to be here, so I think it would be foolish to get involved in that other stuff like going out late and drinking."
