Seattle Sounders midfielder Steve Zakuani has been named the MLS Player of the Week for Week 29.

The 22-year old Zaire-born Englishman netted his 10th goal of the season in the Sounders' 2-1 win over Chivas USA on the weekend and also provided the assist for Osvaldo's goal which made it 2-0.

Zakuani received his second calling to the team of the week as the Sounders move into the play-offs for the second time in their two-year history.

This season he has scored 10 goals and provided six assists, up on last season's numbers of four (goals) and four (assists).
