Seattle Sounders striker Nate Jaqua says he is not worried about the signing of Swiss goalscorer Blaise Nkufo but rather has welcomed the new addition. You could not blame the 28-year old for feeling somewhat threatened with the arrival of Nkufo who has a brilliant goalscoring record in Europe but Jaqua has opened his arms to the fact that the club will be better served by having more quality attacking options.

"We just signed another attacking force," Jaqua said.

"It's good to add another quality player. If it increases competition up front and people are fighting for spots, that's good. … We need more attacking options, especially another person up front with some size."

Nkufo joins from Dutch club FC Twente where he was leading scorer for six seasons in a row and will team up with Jaqua who netted nine times in MLS for the Sounders last term.
