Seattle Sounders still looking at Gspurning as Keller replacement

Austrian goalkeeper Michael Gspurning is still being considered by MLS club Seattle Sounders.

Austrian goalkeeper Michael Gspurning is still being considered by MLS club Seattle Sounders.

The 30-year old is attracting interest from the Sounders who are in need of bringing a new gloveman in following the retirement of veteran Kasey Keller.

Sounders general manager Adrian Hanauer admits that Gspurning is an option although nothing has been officially spoken about.

"He's a player we continue to have interest in,” he said.

“We don't have a contract finalized with any potential goalkeepers but we have continued to be in contact and he is a player who we like very much."
