Seattle Sounders have signed goalkeeper Steve Clark and immediately sent him to Columbus Crew.
The 27-year old joined the Sounders from Norwegian club Hofenoss BK but will before he was again offloaded to the Crew in exchange for a fourth-round draft pick in 2015.
Crew head coach Gregg Berhalter was thrilled to bring in Clark whose MLS rights were owned by the Sounders hence the reason for the process of being signed then traded.
"Steve is a player that has risen through the ranks of Norwegian football and has established himself as a top goalkeeper abroad," Berhalter said.
"He was all-league in Norway and has enjoyed three consecutive strong seasons. Steve has presence, good reflexes and is extremely good in one-on-one situations, and he brings intensity to the goalkeeping position."
