Steve Zakuani has been removed from the Seattle Sounders disabled list as he continues his recovery from surgery.

The 25-year old winger underwent a sports hernia operation in June but is now back in training and is expected to soon make his MLS return.

Former Arsenal youth Zakuani has not featured for the Sounders since April and has made just six MLS appearances this season after missing most of the 2011 and 2012 campaigns with a badly broken leg.
