Seattle Sounders have paid out O'Brian White before releasing him from his contract.
The MLS outfit have bought out the contract of the injury-prone 26-year old Jamaican which frees up an international roster spot and salary budget.
"Unfortunately, because of his medical situation, we have reached an agreement to buy out O'Brian White's contract," said Owner and General Manager Adrian Hanauer. "We will fully support O'Brian and will continue to help him rehabilitate with the hope he can resume his playing career."
White will remain with the Sounders to continue his recovery from blood clot surgery which he underwent in April last year.
