Seattle Sounders defender Jeff Parke has been named the MLS Player of the Week for Week 10.
The 29-year old helped the Sounders to a 1-0 win over Sporting Kansas City on the weekend, heading home the winning goal in stoppage time at Qwest Field.
Parke was influential in defense for the Sounders and his performance was enough to pick up the Week 10 award from the North American Soccer Reporters (NASR).
He is the first defender this season to win the prize, joining a whole bunch of goalscorers from the first nine weeks.
