Seattle Sounders forward Fredy Montero is reportedly on the verge of signing with Russian club CSKA Moscow. The 22-year old Colombian ace told Radio Caracol that he is expected to finalise a deal with the Russian outfit 'within hours'.

Montero joined the Sounders from Deportivo Cali in January last year and was very impressive in the Sounders' first MLS season but it looks as though his time at Qwest Field may be up.

Reports emanating from Colombia suggests that Montero was being tracked by Dutch, Turkish and English clubs but he has decided to join CSKA who were eliminated from the European Champions League by Inter Milan last week.
