MLS club Seattle Sounders will expand to East Africa by opening a soccer academy in Tanzania.
A plea from Tanzania president Jakaya Kikwete for US sporting clubs to invest in the country has been answered by the Sounders who are set to construct an academy as they continue to create a strong working relationship with the country.
Apart from the academy, the Sounders will also have three Tanzanian players to trial with the club every year following the successful stint had by Azam FC's Mrisho Ngassa this summer.
