Seattle Sounders are looking to sign Honduran midfielder Mario Martinez according to head coach Sigi Schmid.
The Sounders have had a busy few days in trading Alvaro Fernandez to Chicago Fire and bringing in Christian Tiffert from Kaiserslautern and now Schmid says they are hoping to make a move for 22-year old Real Espana midfielder Martinez.
"He's a young player that we've been tracking for a while," Schmid said.
"He's got a very good left foot. He's got a good shot from distance. He's another player who's very good on service and set pieces and dead balls.
"He's got some Brad Davis qualities in terms of his services. He's a player we think has a big upside."
