Seattle Sounders striker Eddie Johnson has indicated that he can still produce his best form of his career.
The 28-year old journeyman is now back in his homeland and looking to get back to scoring as many goals as possible to help the Sounders push towards an elusive MLS title.
Johnson scored his second goal in two games in Wednesday's 2-0 home win over LA Galaxy and even though he feels his years are passing by quickly, he is confident he can produce his best.
"I looked over to the other team and I saw all those 21- and 22-year-olds, and I said to myself, 'Soccer really does fly by.'
"I believe the best is yet to come from me," he added. "I'm a lot older, wiser. I've been around the game for 11 years now and I know what it takes to perform at the highest level.""I realized then that I'm getting up there," the former Fulham man told the Seattle Times regarding a recent pre-season match.
