Seattle Sounders crowds doubling league average

Crowds at Seattle Sounders games are doubling the league average.

Qwest Field is consistently attracting over 25,000 fans to each game which is doubling most other teams attendance averages, making a fantastic atmosphere for the Sounders.

Seattle defender Tyrone Marshall says the 29,364 average attendance is great to play in front of as it has inspired the players to perform at a higher standard.

"It's tremendous," Marshall said. "Playing in Toronto, we got that atmosphere because there's a melting pot of cultures and they really understand the game. Coming into Seattle, we're getting that same kind of support, only it's bigger. The fans have definitely rallied around us and the team has responded, as well."
