Seattle Sounders are confident securing Mauro Rosales to a new contract.

Sounders general manager Adrian Hanauer was asked about how the contract negotiations are going.

"Good," he replied. "I don't think either side is urgently trying to get something done this moment. We're going through the process. I have a great relationship with Mauro and his agent. ...

"It's never 100-percent certain, but I'm confident that we're moving in the right direction and will get something done here in the not-too-distant future."
