Seattle Sounders boss Schmid challenges Montero to score

Two goals in 11 matches is not enough according to Seattle Sounders coach Sigi Schmid.

That is the return this season of 23-year old Colombian forward Fredy Montero who was hauled off early in last night's loss to FC Dallas.

Schmid says that Montero is good enough to provide with his attacking playmaking but simply needs to score.

"He needs to score. End of story. He needs to score," Schmid said.

"That's what he's paid to do. He needs to score. He's a good enough player. He knows that. He can playmake, he can set things up..

And Schmid said it would serve the Sounders much better if they were more efficient in front of goal.p> "How many clean chances did they (Dallas) have? Not many," he added. "They scored. That's the difference in the game. That's what you get paid to do. It's a difficult task, but that's the task at hand."
